Development sites and sections
Whether you own a section with development potential or are releasing a finished multi-lot project, we can help you bring it to market.
New-build townhouses and multi-lot developments are a big part of our work. 159 of the 496 properties on our sold record are recorded under a lot address, such as “Lot 2/” followed by a street. You can see them on our sold page and in the new builds and developments page.
If you own a site that might suit development, the first step is to find out what the zone allows. That is a question for Auckland Council's planning information and a planner or architect, not an agent.
How we help
- Advice on what local buyers want before plans are locked in
- Staged release and pricing strategy across the lots
- Online and social media campaigns, with buyer follow-up from a team of seven
- Selling the site itself to builders or developers, or selling finished lots
- Buyer conversations in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, Urdu or Arabic
Get legal advice. This page is general information only and is not legal, tax or financial advice. Your lawyer, and where relevant your accountant or bank, can advise on your own situation before you sign anything.
Things to think about
General guidance only. For advice on your property, speak to your lawyer.
Check the zone
Look up your property on Auckland Council's GeoMaps to see its zone, and ask a planner what it allows.
Plans and consents
Whether a site is sold with plans, a resource consent, or neither affects who will buy it. Your lawyer and planner can advise.
Off-the-plan sales
If lots are sold before they are built, the sale and purchase agreement should be drafted carefully. Your lawyer should handle this.
Title
Subdivision, unit titles and cross-lease titles each have their own paperwork. Ask your lawyer which applies.
Questions
Can you sell a section with development potential?

Do you sell multi-lot projects?
Yes. See our new builds and developments page and the sold record for examples.
Do you give planning or legal advice?
No. We recommend you speak to a planner and a lawyer.
