How selling works

Selling your home, step by step

  1. Appraisal and questions

We visit, ask a lot of questions about your goals, and give you an appraisal backed by recent local sales.

  2. Agency agreement

Before you sign, we give you the NZ Residential Property Sales and Purchase Guide and explain the agreement, fees and marketing costs. You can get legal advice first.

  3. Prepare and present

Simple preparation, quality photography and a marketing plan that reaches buyers online and on social media.

  4. Choose the method of sale

Auction, tender, deadline sale, negotiation or an asking price, chosen to suit your property and the current market.

  5. Open homes and feedback

Regular updates on buyer feedback and enquiry, so you always know where things stand.

  6. Offers, negotiation and settlement

We negotiate hard for your result and stay with you, and your lawyer, through to settlement and handing over the keys.

Selling FAQs

How much is my Auckland home worth?

The most reliable answer comes from an appraisal by an agent who knows your street and recent nearby sales. Request a free appraisal from Tejinder and we'll walk you through the comparable sales.

What documents should I have ready?

Your certificate of title, any council consents and code compliance certificates for work done on the property, and body corporate documents if it's a unit title. Many sellers also order a LIM report from Auckland Council. Your lawyer can advise what's needed for your property.

Auction, tender, deadline or set price?

Each method suits different properties and market conditions. We'll explain the pros and cons for your home and recommend an approach based on recent local evidence.

Can we talk in Punjabi or Hindi?

Yes. Tejinder speaks English, Punjabi and Hindi. Your agency agreement and sale documents will be in English, and your lawyer will review them with you.
