Auckland real estate, from a Papatoetoe local
I'm Tejinder Singh, a residential salesperson at Barfoot & Thompson Otahuhu, and I lead a team of seven that has been named Top Sales Team, South Auckland Region (year ending 31 March 2026). We help people buy and sell homes across Auckland, including Papatoetoe, Otahuhu, Mangere, Manukau, Manurewa, Flat Bush, Papakura and Pukekohe. A big share of our work is new-build townhouses and multi-lot developments.
I've lived in Papatoetoe ever since I moved to Auckland, so I know its twists and turns. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but with rail, buses and the airport close by you can get anywhere quickly. I used to play for the Papatoetoe Cricket Club, and I still play a bit of cricket when I get the time.

English, Punjabi and Hindi
I speak English, Punjabi and Hindi, so you can talk through your property questions in whichever language you're most comfortable with. Many of the families I work with came to New Zealand, studied, worked hard and dreamed of owning their own home. Helping them get there is the best part of my job.
An IT problem-solver in real estate
Before real estate I completed a Graduate Diploma of IT and a Bachelor of Information Technology, then worked as an infrastructure and security specialist for 14 years. Starting on a level-one help desk and working up to level three taught me to keep going until the problem is solved. That background matters more than ever now that so much property marketing happens online and on social media.

I ask a lot of questions, because understanding your goals is how we build the right strategy for your property. I meet new people every day, and I love handing over the keys and seeing the smile on a new homeowner's face.
